The Gary Haller Trail follows Mill Creek on a 17-mile paved route on the west side of the Kansas City metro area. The trail starts at Nelson Island on the Kansas River, then goes south through the cities of Shawnee and Lenexa before ending in Olathe.

Little Blue Trace Trail

Lined with yellow wildflowers in the summer, the trail passes under several old train trestles and more modern overpasses. At mile marker 7, be sure to stop for a picture at a small waterfall. Here you may even catch a glimpse of a pair of resident snapping turtles. The Park is located on 1,856 acres and borders the Little Blue River from Longview Lake north to Blue Mills Road.

Indian Creek and the Blue River Kansas City, Missouri

The Indian Creek Bike/Hike Trail links two states, four communities and a multitude of parks along Indian Creek. In the east, the trail begins where it meets the Blue River Parkway Trail, near the confluence of Indian Creek and the Blue River in Kansas City, Missouri. Extending westward, the trail crosses the Kansas–Missouri state line and enters the 66-acre Leawood City Park.

The Blue River Parkway Trail winds along both banks of its namesake river on the southern outskirts of Kansas City.At its northern end, the trail connects to the Indian Creek Bike/Hike Trail, which continues southwest from where the two trails meet (near the confluence of Indian Creek and the Blue River) for 26 miles to Olathe, Kansas.
